We are so pleased to announce that we are now offering Oncology Massage & Caretaker Massage at Serenity Holistic Health! Tayonon Gbala, our Holistic Massage Therapist, has completed a specialized training in Oncology Massage and is now accepting new patients.
Oncology Massage serves people who are currently undergoing cancer treatment or those who are in remission. This is not a deep tissue massage, it is gentle. The main focus of Oncology Massage is COMFORT.
Oncology massage utilizes the practice of radical bolstering. Your entire body will be supported by pillows and linens and Tayonon will guide you into a safe space where you will feel completely relaxed. Our goal is to make you feel like you are floating on a cloud. Some people say that the massage feels like the ocean; it is truly healing.
This massage is also available to any Caretaker. It is a wonderful way to restore your body & soul and to receive the love and care you have been so generous enough to offer to your loved one(s).
At your first session, Tayonon will meet with you to go over your medical history and establish an appropriate massage therapy treatment plan. Please allow 90 minutes for your first appointment, which will include a 30 minute discussion before your massage. Followup massages are 60 minutes. Please consult with your Physician if you are currently in treatment and fill out the intake form on our forms page prior to your appointment.
