COVID-19 INFO FOR PATIENTS

UPDATE (November 23rd, 2020): We remain open with the health and well-being of our clients, staff, and community as our top priority. All persons are required to wear properly-fitting masks while at Serenity. As always, each treatment room is equipped with a built-in ventilation system which will be running before, during, and after your visit. Please read more below for our current operating procedures.

We have modified scheduling to minimize the number of people in the clinic at one time and prevent clients from crossing paths. Our team is working diligently to best support you with these modifications. Due to the fluid nature of things and limitations in practitioner and administrative support, it make take us longer than usual to respond to your calls, emails, or other requests. We thank you for you patience and support as we navigate new territories.

We ask that you DO NOT come to Serenity if;

  • You have tested positive for Covid-19

  • You are symptomatic, even if you have tested negative for Covid-19

  • You have recently been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19

  • You have recently traveled to a Covid-19 hotspot

If you need to cancel your appointment for any of these reasons, you will NOT be charged for a late cancellation.

If you need support but are unable to come into the clinic, both Dr. Taryn Cass, ND and Colleen Kurtz, LCSW, FNTP offer virtual consultations. You can visit our dispensary page to have supplements delivered directly to you. We also offer curbside pick-up and local delivery of our in-house apothecary.

Please feel free to contact us for questions or concerns. We are so grateful for your continued support.

Taryn

Dear Serenity Holistic Health Family,

As we continue to monitor Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments closely, the health and well-being of our clients, staff, and their families is of utmost importance to us. If you have not already done so, please familiarize yourself with the basics of coronavirus and continue reading to learn what measures we are taking to support our community and global health.

  • Symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the flu and other respiratory illnesses:

    • Fever

    • Cough

    • Fatigue

    • Shortness of breath

  • The virus is spread from person to person via;

    • Respiratory droplets when you cough or sneeze

    • Close personal contact such as shaking hands

    • Touching something with the virus on it and then touching your face before washing your hands

  • Most people, roughly 80%, recover without any special treatment. Elderly and immunocompromised patients depend on community efforts to limit spread and conserve health care resources.

  • To do your part to protect yourself and others you should:

    • Stay home if you are sick.

    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, especially with unwashed hands.

    • Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

    • Cough and sneeze into your elbow/sleeve, not your hands.

    • Avoid contact with people who are sick.

  • Please consult the following resources for guidelines and updates;

To best serve our clients we ask that anyone who is experiencing a cough, fever, shortness of breath, has recently traveled internationally, or been exposed to anyone meeting this description reschedule their appointment for a minimum of 14 days from now. We will amend our cancellation policy as needed for appointments cancelled/rescheduled for this reason. Virtual naturopathic appointments are available to anyone experiencing the above or practicing social-distancing. We are happy to continue providing in-person care for clients who are not experiencing or exposed to acute illness. For anyone practicing social-distancing or implementing self-quarantine, we can either drop-ship or deliver (for a nominal fee) the necessary supplements from our apothecary.

We want to assure you that we are doing our due diligence to “flatten the curve.” We have increased our cleaning and sanitation guidelines and are regularly sanitizing high traffic/touch areas. Employees thoroughly wash their hands (as always) between clients and have increased hand washing to every 30 minutes. Our linens are washed on high-heat sanitization cycles. Hand sanitizer and soap is available in multiple locations throughout the clinic--please note that thorough hand washing is preferable to hand-sanitizer whenever possible. Our staff will also self-quarantine should they experience symptoms or be exposed to anyone who is symptomatic.

We understand this is an anxiety-provoking time, and we are here to support you. Please follow us on Facebook or Instagram to stay informed as developments occur and for more information on how to support your immune system and decrease the stress at this time.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and inform you of any changes to our schedule or normal procedures.

Community problems necessitate community solutions. The best thing we can do is remain calm, compassionate, and proactive. If you are unsure if you should come to Serenity or for other questions/scheduling needs please call us at 708-848-4626, seven days a week.

In health,

Your Serenity Family
